IMAM SHUAIB ALAYE ARABIC AND ISLAMIC TRAINING CENTRE

Established in January 2013 in memory of late Maolana Sheikh Shuaib Alaye by one of his children, Fadeelatu Sheikh Al-imam Muhammad Shafi'h Shuaib Alaye (Al-hayyu).
The Training Centre which is situated at Alagbado Ilorin along Kwara State Specialist Hospital, Sobi, Ilorin, Kwara State, currently runs programs such as Qur’ani, Hiptidahi, Hidadi, and Thanawi. It has been producing qualified and learned students in each of the above mentioned programmes for more than 10 years to date.
The citadel provides conducive and adequate learning environment, which includes infrastructural and physical facilities such as an adequate classrooms for all category of programmes, living-in hostels, open field for sporting activities, a well-equipped Library, adequate and qualified teachers, and standard and, conducive Mosque where the five daily prayers and jumma'ah service are conducted.

Propagating Islam through teaching, spreading and disseminating Islamic teaching in its original language and language of the mother tongue.

 

Our Misson

1. Teaching Arabic language and its literature in most effective way, to prepare people who are to serve Islam.
2. Spreading Arabic Language by making it known and recognized in every corner of Alagbado neighborhood, its environs, Ilorin city and beyond.
3. Teaching and impacting Islamic morals and good ethics and Exchanging educational ideas with other Islamic institutes.
4. Nurturing and molding the upcoming generations on the Islamic rightful ways.
5. Collaborating with other Islamic institutions and foundations in the propagation of Islam as a true religion. 6.
7. Carrying out effective research for the improvement and betterment of methodology and training curriculum.

This blessed center carries out various activities, some specifically for students of knowledge, and others that benefits both students and the general public.

ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS

  1. 1. Teaching the younger generation Classical Arabic language and its literature.
  2. 2. Cultivating the new generation religiously, morally, intellectually, and socially.
  3. 3. Training specialised teachers to enable them to effectively teach religious and Arabic language sciences to the people.
  4. 4. Conducting research and field works to develop educational curricula and modernise teaching methods.
  5. 5. Organizing scientific and literary competitions and discussions among students.
  6. 6. Holding graduation ceremonies for students.

 

GENERAL ACTIVITIES

  1. 1. Performing daily obligatory prayers and the weekly Friday prayer.
  2. 2. Holding a daily Quranic Tafsir (exegesis) session during the blessed days of Ramadan.
  3. 3. Conducting monthly religious guidance and preaching sessions outside Ramadan, along with external preaching gatherings.
  4. 4. Hosting a weekly Dhikr (Rememberance of Allah) session
  5. 5. Performing Eid prayers (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha) at the center's prayer ground in Alagbado, Ilorin.
